The tour starts this Friday!!! We premiere here in Revelstoke on Fri, Jan 22/10. Check out the tour schedule for dates/times, and come and see us on Facebook – REV MOVIE for event descriptions across BC and Alberta!!!
I remember helping to promote the concept of expanding the lift-served ski area from the 2 chairs and a t-bar in 1990 to what was proposed to be 6200 vertical feet after full expansion. This was back in 1990, but the company that was planning to build the high-speed lift system couldn’t put all the pieces together back then. Also, many of the locals couldn’t quite grasp what kind of benefits having North America’s greatest vertical ski area in town would do for them. Except maybe Klaus Ortwein, the owner of the (now defunct) Villager Sports Shop. Anyone here remember him? And Carl Rankin – wonder if he’s still in Revy?
Anyway – I’ll be enjoying the show at the GLC in Whistler tomorrow night!
This will be fat….I mean referring to the phat skis….ha, ha. this will be the first time back to the mountains since I had some personal and medical things happen. I can’t wait…!! Wish I were free….journeying all the noks and crannys of the backcountry. Soon I will be back at my top…..ripp’n the slopes.
Im waiting to see what Mark Abma, Dan Treadway and The Pehota Family will offer…definitely nothing then the best. Rock on Rev….!
